Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service (MPHS), provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population. 63 Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Operational and Administrative staff provide: 24-hour Accident and Emergency care, Hospital Inpatient care, Residential Aged Care, Community Home Support services, Community Maternal and Child Health Services, Community and Public Health Services (including school health services), Community Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health Services, and Community Chronic Disease Services (including Renal Dialysis). The service also supports a range of General and selected Specialist Outpatient and Allied Health services, including Pharmacy and visiting dental services.

About the role:
* Comply with the foodservice quality and safety standards as per the facilities food safety program.
* Monitor the kitchen operating systems, materials, equipment, environmental, utilities and staffing needs to ensure maximum efficiency and high standard of reliability and cost effectiveness.
* Assisting with the maintenance of a safe working environment including safe work practices and the use of safety equipment.
* Participate in Performance Appraisal and Development (PAD) process.
* Instigate and participate in Quality Management activities in the kitchen.
* Economical use of resources in food preparation and service delivery to meet Benchmark and Budget requirements.
* To practice within the boundaries and adhere to Policies and Procedures of Woorabinda Hospital.
* Participate and supervise staff in a working environment supporting Human Resources management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour and skills.
About you:
While not mandatory, a back group in the food service industry, good communication, computer skills and record keeping would be well regarded.
* Completion for the Food Safety Supervisor course will be a requirement for the successful applicant.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $80,680 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $ $43.86 p.h.
