Job Description
Ready to ignite screens and break big stories? We're on the hunt for a dynamic Television Journalist with a killer on-air presence and an insatiable appetite for uncovering exclusive, breaking news. If you thrive on variety, can work a flexible roster, and have a keen interest in local news and politics, then this is your moment. Day to day you will:
* Cultivate key contacts with organisations and essential sources to break compelling news.
* Produce and present impactful news stories for both broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy and clarity in your writing and delivery.
* Deliver dynamic live reports and interviews from events, providing insightful commentary and analysis on diverse topics.
* Actively embrace multiplatform journalism, integrating content across digital, social, and traditional media.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive newsroom culture through your professional, clear, and consistent communication.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
* Proven experience as a Journalist with a strong network of industry contacts.
* Exceptional on-camera presence and a clear speaking voice for dynamic storytelling and live reporting, even under pressure.
* A keen ability to research, interview, and recall facts to deliver accurate, compelling news.
* Excellent time management and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Comprehensive understanding of journalistic ethics and legal compliance.
