$30.00 - $55.00 p/h (3-month probationary period)

**About the Role**:
As a CSA Disability Support Worker, you will be engaged across multiple settings, including:
- Home-Based Care
- Disability Support
- Community Access
- Integrated Family Services
- Transport
- Respite Support
Our services operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No two days are the same. Some day-to-day tasks can include:
- Assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, etc.
- Supporting the needs of individuals with complex medical needs that require high physical support.
- Encouraging the customer's options for choice and control and empowering them at all times.
- Implementing and supporting behavioral plans and record keeping.
- Undertaking or assisting with daily household tasks, e.g., cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.
- Providing opportunities to develop skills, e.g., gardening, cooking, and using transport.
- Accompanying them on outings and day-to-day activities such as shopping, appointments, and social outings.
**Who are we looking for?**
Ideally, you are an experienced disability support worker; however, if you have great customer service or experience with people with disabilities, nursing, paramedicine, youth support, teaching or aged care, or raising families, we would still love to hear from you.
Besides being proactive and resourceful, you:

- Have excellent active listening skills with the ability to act and communicate with empathy, politeness, and tact
- Are highly confidential and protect the privacy of your customers and families
- Energetic and excited to make a difference in people's lives by providing genuine support and always striving to improve experiences
- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, especially great listening skills
- Take accountability and be trusted to work autonomously or as a team.
- Can establish and maintain positive professional relationships with customers and their families
- Provide personal care responsibilities with humility, dignity, and respect

- Have flexibility and willingness to work over a 24/7 roster, including afternoon shifts, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays (including Christmas, Easter, and New Year).
Exceptional customer service is always vital. While you are there to support customers' lives and lead the independent life they want, your workplace is their home, and you must always treat them with respect, integrity, and empathy.
- A minimum Cert IV (or currently studying) in a related relevant Community Services qualification, Cert IV in Disability preferred.
- Availability on an on-call basis and to work for at least three days a week
- The ability to work regular business hours, afternoons, weekends, overnight stays, and public holidays
**Additionally, you will need the following**:
- Proof of both COVID-19 vaccinations and a booster shot (depending on your location and local legisative requirements)
- Current National Police Check
- International Police Check is required if you have lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more in the past 10 years.
- Current Drivers Licence
- Reliable registered vehicle & Comprehensive insurance.
- Working With Children's Check
- NDIS Clearance Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Current Level 2 First Aid & CPR.
