About the Role
We are currently seeking qualified Part-Time and Casual Community Care Employees who will work independently and are responsible for providing services to our elderly consumers in the community. These roles involve supporting consumers' independence in daily activities and living skills such as personal care, domestic duties, transport, shopping, respite, and community access. Your goal will be to help our consumers live the life they choose.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
1. Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
2. Current First Aid Certificate
3. Availability to work at least three days a week
4. Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with consumers, families, and co-workers
5. A genuine interest in helping the elderly
6. Ability to follow care plans and task lists for each consumer
7. Capacity to perform home care tasks satisfactorily within guidelines (e.g., Manual Handling Work Instructions)
8. Knowledge of WHS procedures and safe work practices
9. Understanding of professional boundaries with clients
10. Current driver’s license, registered, insured, and reliable vehicle
11. Reasonable physical fitness, health, and resilience for the role
12. Evidence of seasonal influenza vaccination
13. Police Check suitable for aged care employment
The hourly rate ranges from $32.70 to $34.64, plus relevant allowances, loadings, and superannuation.
