Payroll Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to manage our end-to-end payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process timesheets, leave, terminations, and new starters.
* Complete pay runs accurately and on time.
* Calculate superannuation, PAYG tax, and other deductions.
* Maintain accurate client records and data.
* Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant legislation.
* Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions.
* Generate payroll reports for stakeholders.
* Maintain employee payroll records in the payroll/HRIS system.
* Liaise with HR to ensure employment records are up to date.
* Respond to payroll-related queries in a timely manner.
* Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.
* Support improvements in payroll systems and processes.
* Prepare and distribute payment summaries or Income Statements.
* Support internal and external audits as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum three years experience in end to end payroll processing.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, awards, and payroll tax obligations.
* High attention to detail and strong data management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
* Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Clearances for Working with Children and Criminal Record Check.
* Current NSW Driver's License.
* Experience with Employment Hero.
* Understanding of Aboriginal health and community services sector.
* Knowledge of FBT salary packaging and novated leasing processes.
