Remuneration: $109,247.00 - $133,156.00 per annum, plus superannuation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Mental Health Clinicians to join and work in a multidisciplinary team as a member of the Youth Mental Health Team, a dedicated resource designed to provide innovative & best practice care.

CASPAR is a specialist multi-disciplinary Youth Mental Health team working in headspace Bondi Junction, headspace Hurstville and headspace Miranda. The team provides high quality assessments, evidence-based intervention services and care coordination for young people (12-25 years) with complex mental health needs

We are currently expanding the team and looking for experienced Youth Mental Health Clinicians to join our existing team. While employed by SESLHD, these roles will be based/co-located in the headspace centres. Each clinician will be predominantly based in one headspace centre (Bondi Junction, Hurstville or Miranda), with some flexibility needed to work across sites as required. The Youth Mental Health Clinicians will provide assessment, intervention and care coordination to young people with a range of mental health conditions and will work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team and headspace centre staff.

Selection Criteria
* Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and: Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW, or Occupational Therapist with current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or Clinical Psychologist with full AHPRA registration with endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with an accredited minimum two-year full-time equivalent Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, or Nurse with registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and at least (5) years full time equivalent post registration experience within Mental Health and in addition holding approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is to be appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* Post graduate clinical experience in Youth Mental Health, providing comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence based interventions, working therapeutically with young people and their families, and highly developed skills in engagement and maintaining a therapeutic alliance with young people with severe and complex needs.
* Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, education and support to others in providing service excellence.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
* Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share service change, quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes, translating evidence based research into practice, within a person centred framework.
* Demonstrated active participation in developing, implementing, and reporting on services.
* Current NSW drivers licence and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
