About The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing critical financial insights that support strategic planning and operational decision-making. This role involves ownership of month-end financial processes, statutory reporting, and a variety of financial analysis tasks. As a key player in the finance team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on high-impact projects and influence the company’s future growth.
Responsibilities
* Manage the month-end process, including preparing and processing adjustment journals, accruals, and monthly management reports.
* Perform variance analysis, provide insightful commentary, and assist with board reporting.
* Prepare BAS, FBT, and other statutory returns, along with half-year and annual statutory reports.
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes to inform strategic financial planning.
* Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, CAPEX registers, and daily management reporting distribution.
* Work with the finance team on ad hoc projects and deliverables, ensuring business requirements are met.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with in-depth experience working within a large product based corporate. It is essential that you have the ability to work towards deadlines, have experience in preparation and review of statutory accounts and disclosures and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
