Head Chef Role Overview
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Head Chef who can bring their culinary expertise and passion for Tasmanian produce to our luxury restaurant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, developing seasonal menus, and ensuring high-quality food production.
As part of our dynamic kitchen team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Executive Chef and contribute to the success of our fine dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Culinary Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Chef to align culinary standards and drive innovation in menu development.
* Menu Planning: Lead seasonal menu changes that showcase Tasmanian produce and wood-fired grill techniques.
* Kitchen Management: Manage kitchen budgets, food costing, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient operations.
* Team Development: Recruit, onboard, train, and nurture new kitchen staff to maintain a positive and respectful kitchen culture.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety and Federal Group's ethical standards.

Requirements:
* Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Head Chef in fine dining environments with expertise in contemporary cooking and wood-fired grill techniques.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building skills in premium restaurant environments.
* Passion for Tasmanian Produce: Passion for Tasmanian produce and hospitality excellence.
* Flexibility: Flexible approach to working across a rotating roster, including nights and weekends.
* Certificate: Certificate III or above in Commercial Cookery.
