We are seeking a diligent and hands-on Panel Saw Operator & Factory Floor All Rounder to support our manufacturing operations based in Morisset. You will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for assisting in various aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production Support: Assist with the assembly of products, feed raw materials into production machinery & perform various tasks on the production line as needed.
· Machine Operation: Operate & monitor various production machinery & tools including a panel saw, aluminium mitre saw, edge bander & troubleshooting minor issues & ensuring smooth operation.
· Material Handling: Load & unload deliveries, move stock & materials using hand tools, forklifts, or pallet jacks & assist with dispatching orders.
· Quality Assurance: Conduct basic quality & testing checks to identify defects or inconsistencies in products, ensuring they meet required standards.
· Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized & safe work environment by cleaning equipment, performing minor repairs & storing materials properly.
· Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health & safety procedures & guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself & colleagues.
Skills & Qualifications:
· Experience: Previous experience with panel saws, sliding table saws or similar wood/metal cutting machinery in a factory or manufacturing environment is desirable.
· Attention to Detail: Meticulous in following procedures and checking for defects& ability to read production drawings or cutting lists.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting as required.
· Manual Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with tools and equipment.
· Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a small or large team.
· Certifications: A current forklift license & a drivers licence is essential
