The Role
This position involves working with various teams to provide specialist community and in-patient mental health services to people living in South West, Western Australia. Our service delivers an array of programs including:
Acute psychiatric inpatient units with 23 low acuity beds and 7 high acuity beds
Regional consultation liaison services based in Bunbury hospital
Community mental health clinics located in Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Manjimup
We also provide:
Infant, child and adolescent (0-16) youth (16-18) adult (18-65) older adult (65+) services
Step-up step-down units in partnership with Richmond Wellbeing
Youth mental health services, in partnership with WA Primary Health Alliance
Community assessment and support teams (CAST)
Mental health co-response teams in partnership with the WA Police
Specialised Aboriginal mental health services
Collaborative work with alcohol and drug support services and the Western Australia eating disorder consultation service (WAEDOCS)
Requirements
To be eligible, applicants should be registered or eligible for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent as an overseas-trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.
Applicants must have accepted qualifications in psychiatry, such as MRCPsych and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) after 2007.
