We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Lara. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will lead production performance, ensure safe and efficient end to end 24 hour 7 day manufacturing, and support a culture of continuous improvement. You will directly manage a Shift Coordinator and a wider team of operational staff.

The key responsibilities for this position include:
* Delivering production targets and ensuring on-time, in-full output (DIFOTIS).
* Leading, coaching and developing site employees to build capability and performance.
* Support the team through non conformances and plant related issues
* Develop a thorough understanding of the plant operation.
* Maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring WHS compliance.
* Monitoring plant performance (OEE, TPH) and ensuring accurate downtime and production reporting.
* Upholding quality assurance programs and ensuring customer complaints are investigated promptly.
* Ensuring plant cleanliness, maintenance compliance and operational reliability.
* Supporting weekly production planning, raw material requirements and resource allocation.
* Driving continuous improvement and preparing reports, analysis and capital proposals.
The key skills and experience required for this role include
* Minimum 5 years' experience in food or manufacturing, with exposure to plant management and automation.
* Proven experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement/lean initiatives.
* Strong production planning and performance measurement experience.
* Sound understanding of HSE, QA and statutory requirements.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and computer skills.
* Degree qualified – Engineering, Science, Food Technology (Desirable)
* Understanding of MRP2 and ERP systems (Desirable)
