The Opportunity - About the Role
Senior DevelopmentMmanager role based on the Tweed Coast,NSW with occasional travel to Brisbane Head Office. The opportunity involves overseeing a large-scale masterplanned community project, managing a high-performing team, and driving profitability across the full development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of Development Manager and Assistant Development Manager to deliver large-scale residential projects with strong ESG sustainability, community and financial outcomes.
* Oversee all phases of project across the development delivery cycle.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Capital and Investment Funds, to provide performance insights and ensure alignment with financial goals.
* Secure planning and environmental approvals to enable project progression.
* Monitor market trends and adjust product offerings to maintain competitiveness.
* Build and manage relationships with government authorities, consultants, contractors, and community stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Champion and embody Stockland's values by fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture that supports collaboration, innovation, and respect across all teams and projects.
About you
You're recognised as a trusted and high performing Development expert, with a strong business/customer focus. You will have significant experience in Residential Land Development ideally working across multiple projects or a large project. You have previous experience leading a team and working collaboratively in a high compliance environment.
To be successful in this role you will also have the following skills and qualifications:
* Proven experience in residential land development, ideally across multiple or large-scale projects.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Expertise in planning and development approvals.
* Commercial acumen and customer-focused mindset.
* Experience in placemaking and visioning is highly desirable.
* Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Property, Urban Planning, Engineering).
