The Role
We have an exciting chance for a
Senior Analyst Programmer
with significant experience in Universe/Pick-Basic software. The main purpose of this role is to demonstrate superior analysis and programming skills on the Ultradata suite of products for client service release upgrades, product installations, data conversion, and merger projects.
The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience working in the financial services sector. The role is based out of our head office in Melbourne. However, we are also open to candidates based in Sydney or Perth. The role reports directly to the Senior Manager – Technical Delivery.
Specific accountabilities will include:
Performing analysis of client site source files to determine required site modifications, priority fixes, and support fixes for service release upgrades and product module installations
Performing code import of product modules and subsequent re-engineering of required modifications for product module installations
Performing quality assurance of client site files, modification analysis, and re-engineering for service release upgrades and product module installations
Troubleshooting raised incidents and recommending bug fixes. Documenting change requests and product submission statements to ensure bug fix is included in subsequent base code releases
Performing all facets of installations including preparation, deployment of code, application system configuration, and execution of installation processes
Assisting with analysis and/or programming skills that may arise
Mentoring and guiding Analyst Programmers and Installers in resolving complex issues, if needed
Taking ownership of large and complex projects and liaising with Project Managers in securing successful outcomes for project delivery and budget
Undertaking other administrative duties as required, including the completion of all associated documentation, customer sign-off, etc.
The Ideal Candidate:
Must have experience in UniVerse / PICK-Basic environments –
candidates without these mandatory technical skills should not apply
Tertiary qualifications and/or formal training in appropriate disciplines are desirable but not mandatory
A broad range of knowledge and experience relating to Ultradata products and/or other financial institution software and the finance industry is desirable
Experience in mentoring or managing junior staff is valued.
