About the Business Unit:
Corrections Victoria is a business unit of the Department of Justice & Regulation and is responsible for the management of prisons and community correctional services in Victoria.
About the Role:
The position of Assessment and Transition Coordinator is situated within the Offender Services Team at each prison.
Some of your duties will include:
* Undertaking prisoner risk assessments and needs assessments, coordinate prisoner's applications for parole and contribute to the Case Management Review process
* Supporting the delivery of the CV Reintegration Pathway at the prison location.
* Liaising and consulting with contracted providers delivering pre- and post-release services,
The duration for this fixed-term position is between 18th May 2026 until 11th July 2027

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
* Demonstrated understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of prisoners
* Demonstrated ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisoners
* Demonstrated capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settings
* Capacity to work collaboratively within a prison setting.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills and experience in human services, welfare practice, education or related fields are highly regarded.
