About Bentley Restaurant Group

Owned by Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt, the Bentley Restaurant Group spans several acclaimed venues including Bentley Restaurant & Bar, King Clarence, Eleven Barrack (Good Food Guide's Best New Restaurant), and the forthcoming Watermans in Barangaroo. We're expanding our kitchen teams across the group.

We're hiring across multiple venues:

* Sous Chef
* Junior Sous Chef
* Chef de Partie (CDP)
* Demi Chef
* Commis Chef

Both full-time (38 hrs/week, rotating roster incl. nights/weekends/public holidays) and casual opportunities are available.

What you'll do (by role)

Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef

* Lead a section and support the Head/Executive Chef in day-to-day operations
* Run pass when required; coordinate service and maintain plating standards
* Train and mentor junior chefs; uphold HACCP/food safety compliance
* Assist with ordering, stock control, wastage, and section prep

Chef de Partie (CDP)

* Own a section through prep and service to group standards
* Maintain quality, speed, and consistency during high-volume services
* Manage mise en place, stock rotation, and cleanliness of your area

Demi Chef

* Support the CDP within an assigned section
* Execute mise en place, cook to spec, and maintain station hygiene
* Progressively learn multiple sections across the menu

Commis Chef

* Assist with prep and basic cookery under supervision
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and storage standards
* Learn recipes, specs, and techniques across sections

What you'll bring

* Experience in quality restaurants (hatted or similar preferred)
* Strong technical skills, tidy station management, and a calm, communicative service style
* Knowledge of Australian food safety standards (HACCP)
* A team mindset, reliability, and pride in seasonal produce

Salary & Employment

Full-time base salary ranges (plus super):

* Sous Chef / Junior Sous Chef: $80,000–$85,000
* Chef de Partie (CDP): $78,000–$80,000
* Demi Chef: $76,000–$78,000
* Commis Chef: $72,000–$76,000

Casual: Competitive hourly rates, commensurate with experience.

Final offers will align with experience and role responsibilities.
