Mid to Senior Town Planner Sydney | Property Development $135,000 - $150,000 Super Glass Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Sydney-based property developer to recruit a Mid to Senior Town Planner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional looking to work across the full development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility through to approvals, construction and project delivery. Working closely with the Head of Planning and broader development team, you will play a key role in managing planning approvals, coordinating consultants, navigating complex planning pathways, and helping maximise development outcomes across a diverse project portfolio. The Role Reporting to the Head of Planning, your responsibilities will include: Compiling and submitting Concept Development Applications Preparing and lodging detailed Development Applications Navigating complex planning and approval processes Preparing documentation for CDC applications Providing planning input to support design development and project feasibility Reviewing planning controls, legislation and government policies Liaising with local councils, government agencies and assessment officers Addressing requests for additional information and resolving planning issues Negotiating favourable outcomes within planning constraints Managing modification applications and assessing approval impacts Preparing Statements of Environmental Effects (SEE) and planning reports Analysing site constraints and opportunities from a planning perspective Reviewing and coordinating architectural documentation and consultant reports Participating in Pre-DA meetings with councils and stakeholders Managing Planning Portal submissions and approval processes Monitoring and managing post-approval conditions Assisting with compliance throughout the construction phase Identifying opportunities to add value to development outcomes Additional Exposure This role offers the opportunity to become involved in a broad range of development activities, including: State Significant Development (SSD) projects Design competitions and strategic planning initiatives Sydney Planning Panel and Design Review Panel presentations Community consultation processes Land and Environment Court matters Liaison with government agencies and authorities Public domain and subdivision approvals Construction Certificate (CC) and Occupation Certificate (OC) processes Coordination between planning, design and construction teams Land and strata subdivision projects About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning or a related discipline Approximately 6-8 years of relevant planning experience Strong knowledge of NSW planning legislation and approval pathways Experience in preparing and managing Development Applications Demonstrated experience using the NSW Planning Portal Strong report writing and communication skills Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation abilities A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach Experience working on SSD projects will be highly regarded What's On Offer?
