Job Title: Mechanical Operations Supervisor
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing construction activities within the mechanical discipline.
About the Role:
* Supervise and direct craft professionals in construction activities within assigned areas.
* Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate personnel.
* Input craft time records using established automated tools.
* Conduct performance evaluations on direct reports.
* Provide leadership for safety, accident, and fire prevention on the project.
* Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times.
* Implement a ZERO Accident Philosophy, ensuring compliance with Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements, and standards.
* Ensure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
* Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.
* Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.
* Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned mechanical operations.
* Coordinate established area operational plans.
* Provide input to quantity tracking applications and report weekly installed quantities to Lead Mechanical Superintendent.
* Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate through Procurement to obtain these materials.
* Plan the manpower and equipment required to execute the job.
Requirements:
* 10+ years relevant field experience.
* Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Solid knowledge and experience in the installation and alignment of both rotating and static equipment.
* Knowledge of EPCM contract management and contractor/subcontractor responsibilities.
* Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H) and a Zero Accident safety program.
