About the Role
As a Café Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
Responsibilities include:
* Training team members in store processes and procedures.
* Maintaining a clean workspace in accordance with Food by WHSmith hygiene Standards.
* Reporting and communicating necessary information and feedback to the Store Manager regarding any and all aspects of store operations.
* Assist in the preparation of both food and beverages/coffees.
Please note, our café is located within the Coffs Harbour Health Campus. This is a casual position which will require availability between 6.30am and 4pm during the weekdays.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for coffee and is friendly & approachable. You will display the following qualities:
* 1 year of experience as a team leader or supervisor in a hospitality environment preferred.
* Excellent communication and a team player.
* Prior barista making skills are preferred.
* Must be capable of multitasking in a fast paced environment.
* Knowledge around food handling and safety (Food Safety Certificate is ideal but not essential)
* Great customer service skills and passion for coffee
