About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established food manufacturer servicing domestic and international markets from their Perth facility. They're seeking a Senior HR Advisor / HR Manager to manage the end-to-end HR function across multiple entities within the group.
This is your opportunity to be the leading HR resource for the business, working as part of the senior leadership team and reporting directly to the Head of Site. You'll provide expert HR advice, implement best‐practice people strategies, and drive meaningful improvements in employee engagement and organisational capability.
What You'll Do
Own the HR function – manage all HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes
Provide expert advice – support management and employees on workplace relations, performance issues, disciplinary matters, and grievance resolution
Ensure compliance – maintain expertise in Fair Work Act, NES, Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and WHS obligations
Build workplace culture – promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment through proactive employee relations
Develop talent – oversee training programs, succession planning, and performance management frameworks
Drive improvement – lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement and build organisational capability
Manage employee matters – handle terminations, redundancies, and conflict resolution with professionalism and care
Optimise HR systems – maintain accurate records, metrics, and reporting to support strategic workforce planning
About You
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Industrial Relations or related field
5–7 years HR experience, ideally in food manufacturing or FMCG environments
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
Proven ability to manage the full employee lifecycle
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
Available to work on‐site Monday‐Friday, 7:30am‐4:00pm (some flexibility on start time may be considered)
Willingness to undertake site‐based travel once a month is required
Highly Regarded
Postgraduate qualifications (MHRM, MBA, Graduate Diploma in HR/IR)
AHRI certification (CPHR/CAHRI/FAHRI)
Experience in fast‐paced manufacturing environments
Demonstrated leadership and team mentoring capability
