Job Title: Farm Hands
We are seeking reliable individuals to fill farm hand positions.
Southern Cross Farms provides management services to various investment groups and offers an opportunity for applicants to develop their operational experience in horticultural production.
The role involves performing tasks such as tractor work, operating herbicide spray equipment, and maintaining farm machinery.
* Tractor work including slashing & mulching
* Operating and maintaining herbicide spray equipment
* Assisting with chemical and fertigation applications
* Maintaining, repairing and completing basic level maintenance on farm machinery
* Repairing and maintaining irrigation lines and pumps
* Ensuring adequate irrigation application to support tree growth
* Developing a strong working environment and relationships with farm staff and contractors
* Liaising with the farm manager on all farming practices
* Maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety policies and food safety requirements
Requirements:
* Certification II in Horticulture (desired but not essential)
* Australian driver's license
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Self-motivation and effective communication skills
