Senior Project Officer Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to lead the planning and management of strategic projects aimed at driving economic growth, employment, investment, government infrastructure, and services in Mandurah.
This role will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans, managing project teams, and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets;
* Lead and manage project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard;
* Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, business leaders, and community groups, to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and making recommendations for improvement;
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to build trust and support;
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant degree in a field such as economics, business, or project management;
* At least 3 years' experience in project management, preferably in a senior role;
* Demonstrated skills in project planning, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and risk management;
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
* A current unrestricted C-class national driver's licence;
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
* Research, analytical thinking, and report-writing skills;
* Ability to discuss, articulate, and challenge business plans and options;
* Knowledge of Australian and State Government grant funding programs;
