Seeking a senior finance leader to join an organisation in a key leadership role on a 3-month contract, commencing as soon as possible. The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant who is commercially minded and has experience managing large teams.
Responsibilities
Provides senior leadership across Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Procurement teams, driving performance, accountability, and alignment with organisational objectives
Engages and motivates teams to deliver against strategic priorities while fostering a high-performance and values-driven culture
Oversees financial reporting, including preparation and approval of annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Drives continuous improvement in financial management, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and decision-making
Ensures effective financial governance, including maintenance of compliance frameworks and internal control environments
Acts as a key liaison for internal and external audit processes and supports governance and assurance activities
Leads risk management and compliance frameworks, ensuring organisation-wide understanding and adherence to policies and obligations
Oversees procurement and contract management frameworks to ensure compliance, efficiency, and value-for-money outcomes
Embeds best-practice procurement and risk processes across the organisation to improve service delivery and operational effectiveness
Partners with senior stakeholders to provide expert advice across finance, risk, compliance, and procurement matters, supporting strategic and operational decision-making
Leads improvements in finance, risk, and business systems to enhance reporting capability and organisational performance
Skills Required
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
Extensive senior-level experience in finance, commercial operations, or business services, ideally within complex or project-based environments
Strong leadership capability with proven experience managing teams and driving performance outcomes
Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
