About This Role
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our team. As an integral part of our Audit & Assurance department, you will play a key role in the success of our business.
This position offers opportunities to build your auditing skills and knowledge by providing assistance on statutory audits, applying your expanding technical expertise to real-life scenarios, problem-solving, analysing data, and presenting your findings.
Key Responsibilities
* Internal Audit Planning: Attend meetings to ensure effective planning for audit testing.
* Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their business and internal processes.
* Audit Testing: Perform regular testing to provide assurance over financial statements.
* Data Analysis: Utilize audit technologies to analyse client financial information, identifying areas of risk and error.
* Financial Statement Review: Review prepared financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Effective Communication: Communicate regularly and effectively with clients, both in person and virtually.
* Query Resolution: Send queries to clients to gather evidence, reconciling amounts with expectations.
* Catch-up Scheduling: Schedule regular catch-ups with clients and team members to ensure progress towards the audit signing deadline.
* Senior Communication: Collaborate with seniors when discrepancies arise between client evidence and financial statement data.
Qualifications
Qualified Accountant (ACA) certification in England and Wales or equivalent qualification in Scotland (ICAS).
