We're seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role within the APNA Finance team, you'll ensure project financial success through effective budgeting, compliance, and reporting, while supporting audits, funding proposals, and the delivery of high-quality finance services. This is a one-year fixed-term role, with the potential to transition into an ongoing contract.

What You'll Do:
* Lead project initiation meetings and establish financial processes for projects.
* Assess and manage project revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards.
* Monitor project transactions, accruals, and staff charge allocations for accuracy.
* Identify financial risks and collaborate with management to address issues proactively.
* Prepare and contribute to internal and external financial reporting.
* Support audit activities related to projects.
* Participate in ongoing finance team process improvements.
* Collaborate across teams to support organisational goals.
What You'll Bring:
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (undergraduate or postgraduate)
* CPA or CA qualification, or actively working towards accreditation
* Solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
* 2–3 years of experience in a similar finance role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams
* Experience using Microsoft Dynamics or a similar financial system
