About The Role
Are you passionate about making a difference? HIF, a leading Private Health Insurance provider in WA, is looking for a Broker Support Officer to join our team. In this key role, you'll report to the Growth Manager and provide dedicated operational support to our third-party sales network (brokers). You'll play an integral role in enabling broker-led acquisition, service, and retention of HIF members by delivering accurate, timely, and personalised support across phone, email, and digital channels within a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support new broker-led applications, ensuring that documentation is complete, accurate, and that any follow-up actions are completed within agreed timeframes – setting both brokers and members up for a smooth and positive experience.
* Assist with policy updates, renewals, suspensions, and cancellations, taking pride in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and attention to detail in every interaction and system update.
* Be a reliable and responsive point of support for brokers, following up on member queries, pending applications, and policy changes to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
* Help manage and resolve member enquiries and complaints relating to broker activity, approaching each situation with professionalism, sound judgement, and a solutions-focused mindset.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date broker and member records across internal systems and platforms, understanding that quality data underpins strong service and compliance expectations
* Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement initiatives, including maintaining broker process documentation, updating system information, and identifying gaps or outdated content in internal knowledge resources.
* Champion quality and compliance in every interaction, ensuring all documentation, communication, and process aligns with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

* Experience in an operational support role, ideally within a broker-facing or third-party support environment.
