Director of Surgical Education and Research
Are you passionate about improving surgical education, equity in healthcare, and leading impactful research?
This role requires a skilled leader to drive RACS' strategic research agenda, oversee key programs, and ensure compliance with AMC accreditation standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research, with experience in accreditation, quality assurance, and M&E frameworks.
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team focused on research, accreditation, quality assurance, and government-funded initiatives. They will design and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework, oversee hospital training post accreditation aligned with AMC standards, guide research projects that advance surgical education and healthcare equity, disseminate research outcomes across academic and professional platforms, and foster a high-performance team culture and stakeholder collaboration.
To thrive in this role, you will bring: • A PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification in research, with extensive experience in healthcare or education research and evaluation. • Proven leadership of complex research programs and teams. • Strong experience in accreditation, quality assurance, and M&E frameworks. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • A track record in securing funding and working with government and academic partners. • Experience in medical education or health membership organizations is highly regarded.
