With growth and greater success, we are now looking to hire a Retail Design Manager to join the Design and Property team based west of Melbourne.
The purpose of this role is to deliver industry best practice and innovative retail designs for Food & Grocery retailers through effective management and co-ordination.
**Your new role**
- Design, draft and document current and refurbishment supermarket fit outs from inception to completion for our independent retailers
- Manage the review and approval of all projects in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with internal best practices, processes
- Co-ordinate all internal/external design and construction documents to ensure compatibility with approved store fit out requirements
- Review and make recommendations on design documentation provided by developers and independent retailers to provide the best outcome for the
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory/statutory requirements, company standards, and compatibility with tenancy
- Consultation and co-ordination of store design with external consultants
- Work with internal/external stakeholders to achieve goals
- Site investigation (including detailed site audits, measure-ups and photo reports) and preparation of Existing Conditions, Feasibility Sketches, Concept Plans and presentation drawings for development proposals/stakeholder approvals etc
- Analyse Space and make recommendations to optimise our store estate, improve functionality (customer experience as well as store operations) and financial performance
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Minimum 5 years experience in supermarket/food convenience retail design and documentation is essential - retail design experience preferably within a similar role.
- High working knowledge in Autodesk, Revit, and AutoCAD essential - Competence in Revit family creation will be advantageous.
- Competence in Enscape or similar presentation software and demonstrated presentation skills. Must be able to show portfolio of relevant works (2D/3D) indicating design and documentation and competence in Microsoft based software and Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop or similar) will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian Standards, NCC building regulations and food safety standards, supermarket design methodologies and design processes.
