About the Role
Carbiz is seeking motivated, energetic, and organized Claims & Recoveries Officers to join our growing team. In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of accident replacement and credit hire claims, working closely with insurers, customers, and third parties to negotiate outcomes and ensure timely recoveries.
You'll play a key role in supporting Carbiz's accident management process, contributing directly to positive customer outcomes and business performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Speak with customers, insurers, and third parties over the phone to understand their situation and help progress their claim.
* Manage a portfolio of customer cases, ensuring each person receives timely support and clear communication.
* Look after a ledger of rental invoices, checking details and ensuring everything is processed accurately.
* Work with insurers and third parties to negotiate fair outcomes and help customers reach a resolution.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customers experience a smooth, stress‐free claims journey.
* Keep detailed, accurate records and follow company processes and industry guidelines.
About You
* Previous experience in phone‐based customer service or sales (preferred but not essential as we hire based on attitude!).
* Experience in automotive, car rental, insurance, or credit hire industries (highly regarded but not essential).
* Additional language skills such as Mandarin or Cantonese (desirable).
* Tech‐savvy with strong computer literacy.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
* Warm, confident communicator with a strong sense of empathy.
