Role details The Medical Imaging Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Medical Imaging Assistant to join their team on a casual basis. Your opportunity The purpose of this role is to contribute to patient care by undertaking clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of a Medical Imaging Professional. To assist Medical Imaging Professional's with non-radiographic duties. About the Team Our Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including, General Radiography (CR) and (DR), Computed Tomography (CT) (Dual Source), Ultrasound, Theatre II, Interventional Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
