About The Role
As an
Experienced Maintenance Employee - Drainage
, you'll play a vital hands-on role in maintaining and improving Latrobe City's essential drainage infrastructure. Your work will help keep our community safe, resilient, and functioning at its best.
This is a practical, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll operate specialised equipment, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and contribute to the overall reliability of Council's stormwater assets.
Hours:
7:00AM - 4:00PM, working a
9-day fortnight

Based at Latrobe City Council's Driffield Rd Depot, Morwell

About You
You're a skilled, safety-driven maintenance operator with solid knowledge of drainage, stormwater systems, and relevant regulations. You enjoy practical, outdoors work and take pride in doing the job right the first time. Your experience with high-pressure drain cleaning equipment will allow you to step confidently into this role.
You will have:
* A current Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle Licence (minimum) *
* Traffic Control and Worksite Management certification *
* Construction Induction (White Card)
* A current Confined Space Entry certificate
* Practical experience operating high-pressure drain cleaning equipment used in pipe drainage maintenance
While the listed licences and qualifications above are mandatory, applicants who do not yet hold those marked with an asterisk (*) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Desirable:
* Current First Aid
* Experience working with a Municipal Council or similar authority
Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check and undertake a Pre-employment Medical Check.
