Position: Full time, Permanent Our client, Pacific Facility Services Pty Ltd is a Sydney-based facilities maintenance business providing commercial and residential building maintenance services, including grounds maintenance and garden maintenance. Pacific Facility Services is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Landscape Gardener to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting to the clients’ locations in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region maintaining outdoor spaces to a professional standard, carrying out regular gardening and landscaping duties, and ensuring that all grounds are safe, tidy, and visually appealing. This role requires practical hands-on skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The Landscape Gardener will play an important role in supporting the overall presentation and upkeep of client properties. The position involves routine garden care, soft landscaping, plant maintenance, and general outdoor property maintenance in line with company standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically fit, and committed to delivering quality results in a professional environment.
Qualifications and Experience Relevant trade qualification or Certificate III/IV in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field is preferred or at least three years of relevant experience At least one year of proven experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance.
Experience operating gardening tools, small plant equipment, and landscaping machinery is highly regarded. Key Responsibilities Carry out general gardening and landscaping duties across assigned sites.
Maintain lawns, garden beds, hedges, shrubs, trees, and outdoor green spaces. Perform mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, weeding, planting, and watering tasks. Ensure outdoor areas are clean, presentable, and maintained to a high standard.
Assist with soft landscaping works and minor outdoor improvement projects. Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and correctly. Identify plant health issues, pest problems, or irrigation concerns and report them promptly.
Remove green waste and ensure work areas are left tidy after each job. Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times. Work cooperatively with supervisors, team members, and clients to meet service expectations.
Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance and general outdoor property care. Support additional facility maintenance tasks as required. Skills and Attributes
Strong knowledge of gardening and landscaping practices. Ability to use landscaping tools and equipment safely. Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality presentation standards. Strong time management and the ability to work independently. Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused approach.
