**About the role**
The **Rostering Officer**at Activ, reports to Rostering Team Leader and is responsible for coordinating rosters for our accommodation and community teams across all areas of the business working 30.4 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.
Working in a vibrant and energetic team, this role can be demanding but extremely rewarding with effective service delivery being the upmost priority at all times. If you are experienced in rostering, enjoy a fun high-energy team setting with a lot of laughs (and banter), this is the role for you.
**A typical day in the role may look like **
- Management and maintenance of rosters including identifying recruitment and training needs and providing leave coverage
- Working with front line leaders to optimise workforce ensuring our customers are matched with the right staff
- Undertaking rostering and administration tasks efficiently and liaise with staff, Team Leaders and other internal stakeholders
- Liaising with internal teams such as Recruitment, HR, Training and Payroll ensure the timely and appropriate planning maintenance of rosters
- A passion for providing service and assistance in the community;
- Prior experience in workforce deployment, scheduling and coordination of large teams desirable;
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and multitask;
- Well-developed conflict resolution skills and strong administration and communication skills;
- An understanding of and experience with the Disability Service sector is highly advantageous but not essential.
