Overview
We are seeking an experiencedSous Chefto support the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, supervising staff, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality meals. The Sous Chef will assist in menu planning, inventory management, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations
* Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain high performance
* Ensure all food is prepared to the required quality, presentation, and hygiene standards
* Contribute to menu planning, costing, and inventory management
* Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations and kitchen safety policies
* Assist in scheduling staff and coordinating kitchen workflow
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen
* Strong leadership and staff supervision skills
* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (certification preferred)
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
