The Ngoonbi Community Services Indigenous Corporation (Ngoonbi) was established in 1975 for the purpose of improving quality of life, health and access to affordable and quality housing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Ngoonbi's objective is to eliminate social disadvantage among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to increase their participation within the community.
Ngoonbi aims to maintain the highest standard of services for our clients within the Kuranda, Mareeba, Atherton and Mt Garnet region, delivering programs in aged care support and community programs which includes the following:

About the Role
The Human Resources Officer has overall responsibility for the provision of human resources administration and HR strategic planning, this includes but not limited to award interpretation, development/review of Human Resources policies, procedures and their implementation, data entry and maintenance of Human Resources Information Systems and staff training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day HR functions and administrative tasks.
* Maintain accurate employee records, both hard copy and digital.
* Prepare reports and documentation relating to staffing, training, recruitment, grievances, and performance evaluations.
* Enter and maintain employee information in the HR Information Systems.
* Recruitment & Onboarding processes, including advertising, sourcing, shortlisting
* Conducting initial orientation and induction for new employee's
* Assist with workforce planning and succession initiatives
* Employee Relations and Support
* Support HR projects, including surveys, workshops, and professional development initiatives
About you
* Experience in Support at Home and / or Home Care Package Coordination
* Strong understanding of aged care programs and service delivery
* Confident in care planning, coordination, and documentation
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in client systems and Microsoft Office
* Minimum Human Resources or similar experience in a HR generalists role for 2-3 years.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Cert IV in Ageing Support, Community Services or related field (working towards)
* Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* First Aid & CPR
* National Police Check
* Working Rights in Australia
