Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Forklift Operator to join our team. The role involves operating electric forklifts and pallet jacks, handling stock, and ensuring safety and organization in our warehouse environment. This position offers guaranteed 24 hours per week, competitive rates, and employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete daily forklift safety checklists.
2. Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks to move merchandise.
3. Ensure delivery vehicles are secured and safe.
4. Transfer merchandise from delivery vehicles to the receiving dock.
5. Conduct receiving processes, including quantity, quality, and food safety checks, using IT systems.
6. Review invoicing for received goods.
7. Move pallets of merchandise in and out of the steel.
8. Remove empty pallets from the sales floor.
9. Perform outdoor work in the pallet yard.
10. Maintain safety and organization of the receiving dock.
11. Wrap and tag pallets securely and accurately.
12. Assist with stocking and clear debris from the sales floor.
13. Provide prompt and courteous customer service, assisting members with loading large items and directing them to products and information.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current forklift license.
- Recent and relevant forklift operation experience, particularly with high-reach standing forklifts.
- Stock handling and/or receiving experience preferred.
- Energetic, hardworking, reliable, and punctual.
Additional Information
Outdoor work required in the pallet yard. Costco is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; successful candidates may be subject to testing at any time during employment, including pre-employment screening.
