About the Role
As Revenue Officer, you will work closely with the Rates Officer to process rates tasks, respond to customer enquiries, and maintain accurate financial records. You will manage billing, payments, reconciliations, debt recovery, and reporting while ensuring compliance with legislation and Council policies.
To be Successful
* Relevant experience in revenue, rating, accounts receivable, or related finance roles, preferably within local government or transferable to this context.
* Familiarity with the Local Government Act, rating provisions, practices, and procedures.
* Experience using ERP systems.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional advice to customers.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
* Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations, and Council policies.
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared outcomes.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
