 
        
        Overview Barengi Gadjin Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BGLC) represents Traditional Owners from the Wotjobaluk Nations. 
The CEO position reports to the Board and is responsible for driving the organisational vision, strategy, and growth potential. 
The role focuses on building organisational and individual capacity, providing effective leadership aligned with strategic plans, and exploring partnerships and opportunities for growth. 
It also requires proactive relationship building with the community to increase engagement with the organisation. 
This is a contract, full time position based in Horsham, Victoria. 
About the Position The CEO will drive strategy and planning to ensure BGLC is responsive to and informed by its Strategic Plan and broader Country Plan. 
This role requires a strong professional leader able to mobilise a multidisciplinary workforce across a broad portfolio of responsibility and to work with internal and external stakeholders. 
The perfect fit is a values-based leader with advanced people leadership skills and deep management experience who collaborates effectively and champions safety for themselves and others. 
Key Requirements Demonstrated experience in managing day-to-day operations of a diverse organisation at executive level with accountability and effective coordination across staff, community and stakeholders. 
Deep understanding of Aboriginal governance, corporate governance, and general management practices within Aboriginal organisations and communities. 
Experience in strategic financial management, sustainable enterprise development, and driving organisational growth. 
Proven ability to drive organisational priorities through the Country Plan and the Strategic Plan. 
Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across different cultural contexts. 
Ability to inspire trust and embed cultural integrity in all aspects of community leadership. 
Mandatory Requirements There are no mandatory qualifications required for the role; however, relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded. 
What We Offer / Salary Position Status: Contract 
Position Type: Full-time 
Location: Horsham, Victoria 
Salary: $250k package (inclusive of statutory 12% super & vehicle) 
Base pay range: A$200,000.00/yr - A$250,000.00/yr
