**About the Role**
As a **Risk Manager**, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of
the program by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. This role works closely with
program stakeholders, including stream leads, project managers, the Senior
Responsible Officer (SRO), Program Manager and Risk Owners, to proactively manage
risks and their potential impact on program outcomes. Maintaining the accuracy of
the program's risk register and contributing to risk reporting will be essential to ensure
alignment with government expectations and assurance processes.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing thorough risk assessments tailored to the specific scope of the
- program, identifying risks across multiple streams and work areas
- Creating and implementing effective risk management strategies to address
- identified risks and ensure successful program delivery
- Overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of the DART program's risk register,
- ensuring it is regularly updated and reflects current risk statuses
- Working closely with risk owners, stream leads, project managers, the Senior
Responsible Officer (SRO), and the Program Management Office (PMO) to
promote risk awareness, monitor risk exposure, and devise actionable mitigation
strategies
- Contribute to developing internal and external risk reports for the program,
providing insights and updates that inform government assurance processes and
high-level risk discussions
- Continuously evaluate and manage program-specific risk exposure, adjusting risk
management strategies to support the program's objectives
- Effectively leverage Microsoft Suite tools (including MS Teams, SharePoint,
PowerBI, Excel, and MS Project) for tracking, managing, and reporting on risk
information.

- See projects through to completion and monitor project progress, adjusting
plans as required.

**Desirable Qualifications / Experience**
- Experience in risk management roles, especially within a government or public
sector environment, handling large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders
- Federal Government experience is highly advantageous, with the ability to
quickly adapt and navigate the government risk assurance context
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, producing clear, concise,
and accurate reports for senior executives and government stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
and develop innovative solutions to complex risk issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Teams, MS SharePoint,
PowerBI, Excel, and MS Project is essential.
**Eligibility**
All NDIS Commission personnel are required to meet employment suitability
requirements prior to, and throughout their employment.
