NewDirection Care is looking for an engaging and friendlyCafé/Hospitality Assistantto join our team at our aged care residence at Bellmere.
Working in our Café you will be capable in all aspects of operating a café and providing services to our residents, visitors, our team and our local community.
What This Role Involves
Short order cooking and food preparation.
Barista duties – making a variety of coffees in a timely manner.
Customer service - serving our residents, staff and external customers
Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas.
Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices.
Fast, effective service throughout busy periods.
Solo operation of café ensuring all above requirements are seen to.
Getting to know our residents and their needs, capabilities, likes + dislikes.
What we require from you
Previous experience assisting in all aspects of café operations, food preparation and service provision.
Previous experience in a residential aged care setting highly favourable
Experience making amazing coffee
Self-motivated and able to work well alone and in a team.
A motivated, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene.
