**A place to make a difference**:
In this part time, permanent role (ideally 3 days per week*) based in Toowoomba, you'll work within a team to provide case management and safety planning support to women and children who are escaping or experiencing domestic violence, within the refuge accommodation program. The role attracts some mínimal rostered on-call responsibilities. As part of our Ada's Haven DFV Refuge and Outreach Program, you'll report to our Team Leader.
- Ideally, you would be available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. There may also be capacity to increase your working days in this role in future, if preferred.
- You will make a difference by: _
- Facilitating the provision of safe accommodation to women and children escaping domestic and family violence
- Conducting thorough risk and needs assessments, within a trauma informed case management framework
- Working with families to source appropriate, safe and sustainable accommodation free from violence and/or connecting families with services to meet their needs

- A Bachelor/Diploma of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Service Qualification and/or significant experience in a similar service
- Knowledge and understanding of domestic and family violence, including the impact on children
- Experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds

- Current driver's licence
- It is a genuine requirement of this position that it be filled by a woman as permitted in sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act, 1991._
**Note: In order to ensure job shadowing can take place, the successful applicant will ideally commence in the role during December.**
