Local Government Executive Assistant to CEO

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Executive Assistant to join our client's dynamic local government team in Perth's Southern suburbs.
This role is offered on a contract basis with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Position Overview
The Executive Assistant will provide high-level, confidential administrative and executive support to the CEO, Shire President, and other team members as required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence on behalf of the CEO and Shire President
Coordinate the CEO's daily schedule, meetings, and commitments
Organise appointments, meetings, and related logistics
Research and prepare responses to Councillor requests; assist with presentation preparation
Monitor and respond to telephone, written, and in-person enquiries
Track expenditure and assist in maintaining operational budgetsRaise purchase orders as required
Coordinate and support special projects as directed by the CEO
Action and follow up items arising from council meetings
Selection Criteria
Previous experience in a similar role within local government
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Experience preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes
