The Conference & Events Manager is responsible for the successful handling of events involving catering requirements (with or without guestrooms).
Under the general guidance of the Director of Sales, the Conference & Events Manager maximises business opportunities, ensures effective communication with clients and efficient coordination with departments concerned.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Working closely with the Sales Team and Conference & Events Executive to propose competitive pricing and packages for leads and inquiries.
Managing event processes from initial negotiation through to execution and post-event follow-up.
Setting monthly sales and promotional targets in collaboration with the Sales Executive for in-house events.
Issuing Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, and chairing pre-event meetings to ensure operational alignment.
Reviewing Master Account postings and coordinating billing accuracy with clients and Accounts Receivable.
Supporting revenue tracking, market trend reporting, and lead management in coordination with the Director of Sales and Sales Managers.
What we are looking for
Previous sales experience within hospitality/hotel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with Delphi or similar systems will be highly regarded.
