Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Senior Store-person to join their team in Taren Point. The successful candidate will have an integral role in managing daily warehouse operations within a customs bonded warehouse, ensuring compliance of regulated freight, inventory accuracy, and upholding strict security and reporting standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
* LF Licence and experience with Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts
* Clear Criminal History Check
* Minimum 2 years' experience in freight, logistics, transport, or warehouse roles
* Experience working in a customs bonded warehouse and strong knowledge of bonded freight handling required
* Excellent computer skills -including Microsoft Suite. Experience with ICS highly desirable
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with customs brokers and other regulatory stakeholders.
* Ability to work independently, lead by example, and contribute to a collaborative team
THE ROLE:
* Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow.
* Receive, check, and process inbound freight in accordance with customs bonded warehouse requirements.
* Pick, pack, and dispatch outbound orders while maintaining compliance with customs regulations.
* Monitor and maintain accurate bonded stock records,
* Complete and assist with customs-related documentation, reporting, and audits.
* Ensure secure handling, movement, and storage of bonded goods in line with regulatory obligations.
* Conduct stocktakes, cycle counts, and reconciliation of bonded and non-bonded inventory.
* Safe Operation of forklifts and other MHE
* Coordinate with logistics providers, drivers, customs brokers, and internal departments.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and workflow optimisation.
* Ensure compliance with WHS and Australian Border Force (ABF) regulations.
