Xenco Services is partnering with a well-established mining operation in Queensland to recruit two senior-level environmental professionals.

We are seeking:
1. Senior Approvals Advisor – Full-Time Permanent
2. Senior Environmental Advisor – ***** Month Contract
Both positions are local based DIDO roles on an 8/6 roster.
On-site accommodation and meals provided.
1. Senior Approvals Advisor – Permanent
About the Role
The Senior Approvals Advisor will lead major approvals processes, permitting, EA amendments, and regulatory engagement for the operation.
This position is suited to a senior environmental professional with strong experience in Queensland approvals and the ability to manage complex regulatory pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate environmental approvals, permitting and EA amendments.
Manage environmental aspects of operational changes, projects, and compliance obligations.
Liaise with regulators, consultants and internal stakeholders on approvals strategy.
Support long-term planning, risk assessments and environmental management frameworks.
Guide the business through evolving regulatory requirements and compliance expectations.
You Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering (or similar).
Proven experience in environmental approvals within mining or heavy industry.
Strong understanding of Queensland legislation and approvals pathways.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.
2. Senior Environmental Advisor – ***** Month Contract
About the Role
The Senior Environmental Advisor will support day-to-day environmental compliance, monitoring programs, and operational environmental management.
This is an integral role within site operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on environmental work in an active mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver environmental monitoring for water, air/dust, waste, biodiversity and rehabilitation.
Manage compliance obligations and prepare statutory reports.
Provide environmental advice to operations, processing and mining teams.
Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain environmental databases and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You Bring
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field.
Experience in environmental compliance within mining or heavy industry.
Knowledge of Queensland environmental regulation and EA requirements.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
