Overview
Community Nurse | North Shore at Australian Unity. Our Home Health Registered Nurses are key members of an integrated, multi-disciplinary team, responsible for delivering evidence-based, person-centred nursing care to support customers in their own homes. This hybrid role supports you to work at your full scope of practice, providing quality care across a variety of work settings and caseloads.
We are offering permanent full-time and part-time positions (minimum 3 days per week) within our North Sydney team, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle and career goals.
Responsibilities
- Complete in-home clinical assessments and provide treatment in the management of acute and chronic conditions
- Manage medications, including IV antibiotics via PICCs
- Deliver complex wound care, including NPWT
- Manage surgical drain tubes
- Urinary catheter insertion and management
- Coordinate care with an autonomous approach and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Support work-life balance with rotating shifts
About You
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (AHPRA) registration
- Unrestricted driver’s license with a registered, insured vehicle
- Minimum 12 months’ experience delivering care to customers receiving IVAB via PICC lines and complex wound care including NPWT and surgical drain tube management; experience in acute, sub-acute and/or community settings is preferred
- Excellent communication and time-management skills with ability to multi-task
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and with others to coordinate care
- Working knowledge of various funding streams
