About The Role
Are you ready to accelerate your leadership journey and drive operational excellence across iron ore operations?
Business Improvement Specialist role supports the maturity of operational excellence and builds capability across frontline teams at an iron ore mine in the Pilbara.
Key Responsibilities
* Coach supervisors and frontline teams in continuous improvement and standardised work.
* Champion leader development through coaching and mentoring.
* Facilitate & coach structured problem-solving and drive sustainable improvements.
* Support the Operational Improvement Engine to deliver tangible outcomes in safety, productivity, cost, and people.
* Motivate a continuous improvement mindset and help replicate best practices.
* Enable teams to utilise and manage improvement systems.
* Assist in preparing for and coordinating Operational Excellence Index (OEI) assessments.
* Support rollout of new work routines, tools, and procedures.
* Analyse operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
* Build site capability through training, coaching, and hands-on support.
* Drive consistent and safe work execution through standardised processes.
About You
* Background in mining, maintenance, fixed plant, or processing.
* Strong facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills.
* Experience in operational or maintenance roles within a mining environment.
* Exposure to business/site improvement or relevant qualifications.
* Skilled in leading problem-solving activities with teams.
* Confident engaging with stakeholders across site.
* Proactive, adaptable, and committed to helping people perform at their best.
