This is a unique role that blends Sales and Administration to support with growth and efficient operations. As a Business Development Manager and Service Technician Planner, your week will focus on tapping into the market to build new business and continue to deliver on the compelling customer offer.
Working with the Sales Team, you will proactively identify opportunities to convert leads and drive growth in lifting and rigging product categories. Operating within a small, collaborative team, you will also be allocated time each week to act as the Field Service Planner to ensure effective scheduling, coordination and administration support for our Service Technicians.
Your contribution will play a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency and supporting the branch's overall commercial performance.
What's Involved In The Role
Identify opportunities for business growth to convert leads within the defined market
Develop a strong sales pipeline to ensure the achievement of targets
Support at a local level relevant planned marketing and technical campaigns
Liaise and coordinate the schedule of service technicians to customer sites
Resolve customer interactions end to end via phone and email
Coordinate travel as required for technicians (including flights and accommodation)
Ensure technicians are compliant for customer site though site access databases
Some Of The Skills Required
Previous experience in a BDM or Sales role
Experience with planning and scheduling
Proactive and ambitious mindset to build upon existing presence
Ability to foster meaningful relationships with customers
Self-directed, initiative-taking multi-tasker with strong attention to detail
High level written and verbal communication
A full, unrestricted Australian drivers license
Technical knowledge in an industrial/mining environment advantageous
