Job Title: Technical Sales Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mechanical or mechatronics professional to join our dynamic team as a sales specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine design, sales experience within the automation and robotics sector, and excellent communication skills.
This role involves developing relationships with new and existing clients to scope their engineering project requirements and designing custom robotic and automated material handling systems. Additionally, it requires presenting solutions to clients for approval and sign off, taking ownership of new business, and ensuring delivery of excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their engineering project needs and develop customized robotic and automated material handling solutions.
* Present proposals to clients for approval and ensure timely implementation of projects.
* Lead new business initiatives and drive the achievement of sales targets while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
* Professional Membership of Engineers Australia or equivalent body.
* Proficiency in producing and reviewing project proposals and tender documents.
* Proven sales experience within the Automation/Robotics sector.
* Solid Edge - 3D design skills.
* Familiarity with mech/elect safety requirements of machine design.
* Strong knowledge of sensors, PLCs, pneumatics, servo motors, conveyors, and robotic-based automation systems.
* Able to travel state-wide from Gold Coast office.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Planner or Project.
