We are looking for a passionate and experienced Leading Hand – Parks Maintenance (Seaforth) to take charge and help keep our green spaces, splash park, and Council facilities between Seaforth and Cape Hillsborough in top condition.

About this opportunity:
As the Leading Hand, you will assist in the delivery of scheduled maintenance activities across grassed areas, garden beds, trees, camping grounds, amenities and water play facilities.
Based in Seaforth, you will work under regular direction and help ensure high-quality maintenance services are delivered in line with agreed service levels.
You will also support the supervision of a small team, provide technical advice, and contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support staff within the parks maintenance team.
Review and implement operational processes to improve efficiency.
Deliver tasks in accordance with Service Level Agreements and work standards.
Promote a culture of safety, wellbeing, and psychological health.
Perform and oversee maintenance services across various park assets.
Daily maintenance of pool / water play facilities
Maintain Council's image and reputation through quality service delivery.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture or Turf Management (or relevant experience).
QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence (or interstate equivalent).
General Construction Induction Training.
Chainsaw Level 1 Licence.
ACDC Weed Spraying Licence.
Experience in the planning, scheduling and delivery of tasks and projects.
Working knowledge of parks maintenance principles and practices including understanding relevant legislative and regulatory responsibilities and Australian Standards.

Base annual salary of $ 67,****** + Applicable allowances
