Job Description
Overview: Responsible for providing ground maintenance services, operating gardening equipment and machinery safely and efficiently to ensure our clients' landscaped grounds are maintained according to site schedules and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Chemical spraying, pulling weeds, and clearing areas of debris.
* Using various spraying equipment, such as backpack sprayers, knapsack sprayers, and motorized spraying equipment, to control weeds, pests, and insects.
* Placing temporary warning signs when required.
* Performing tasks in a way that causes minimal inconvenience to customers, staff, and the general public.
* Operating equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and SNT operational procedures.
* Reporting maintenance and repair issues to area supervisors.
* Understanding and complying with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies.
* Following written instructions, verbal directions, and procedures to perform work.
* Challenging any instructions that may pose a risk to anyone or the environment.
* Taking personal responsibility for protecting the health and safety of people and the environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essentials:
* Class C Driver's License (manual).
* Ability to work under limited supervision either individually or as part of a team.
* Satisfactory National Police Security Check Report.
* Physical ability to perform job duties.
* Capacity to perform manual work for extended periods outdoors.
Desirable:
* Chemistry Certificate or ability to obtain.
* Knowledge of pest and weed control.
* Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture.
* OCHRE Card (or willingness to obtain).
* Construction Industry White Card (or willingness to obtain).
